Don’t Let Past Regrets Drag You Down

What’s Your Biggest Regret?
My biggest regret is not staying focused on God. Too many times I got off course and took my own road. Sometimes those roads were old dirt roads that led absolutely nowhere!
And at times when I did stay focused and took God’s road, they were sometimes rocky. Sometimes so rocky I couldn’t handle it and took the first side road I could find.
A great example of this is the past few months of my life.
For the past year, I have planning a big move to Florida. In November well actually, to be honest, some time ago God laid on my heart my calling, which of course is writing and encouraging others. Building others up.
I was so focused on my blog at one time that I blogged nearly every day!
Then I got distracted with my move to Florida and started looking for a “good job”. I was so focused on finding a good job in Florida that I took a side road and lost focus on God’s plan for me. I was impatient and I wanted what I wanted “now”!
God being God He clearly revealed to me that I was on the wrong path. He also showed me that time management and life management are necessities of our everyday life.
When you have a dream, a why, a purpose; it’s most likely God’s plan for you! Especially if you feel pulled toward and you can’t seem to resist the pull.
We reap what we sow. If you give up on that dream you will reap the consequences later. But wait it’s NOT TOO LATE! Go after your dream! I know I am going after mine!

  3. Great post. Not following God’s plan seems to take us places that we don’t always want to go. Thanks for the reminder!!

  5. Shauna, everything happens with a purpose, even if we make mistakes. Luckily God stays in charge of your life, and He doesn’t count mistakes, He is full of grace and love and will lovingly allow you to take a turn so you can come nearer with a stronger conviction to His purpose for you.
